The birds of paradise are belong to the Paradisaeidae family of the Passeriformes order. Nearly all varieties in this family are observed on the island of New Guinea as well as its satellites, with some species occurring in the Moluccas and eastern Australia. This family has 40 species in 13 genera. The members of this family are probably most widely known for the plumage of the males of the majority of species, specifically very pointed and intricate feathers stretching from the beak, wings or head. Typically they're limited to thick rain forest environment. The diet plan of these species includes mainly fruit and to a smaller degree arthropods. The birds of paradise have a wide range of reproduction systems, which range from monogamy to lek based polygamy.
